김은기캐나다 토론토대에서 사회학 박사학위를 취득하였고 현재 고려대학교 국제학부 교수로 재직 중이며 Humanities & Social Sciences Communications(AHCI & SSCI), Religions(A&HCI), Journal of Korean Religions(AHCI) 편집위원 등을 맡고 있다. 주요 저서로는 Contemporary Korean Culture: The Persistence of Shamanistic and Confucian Values and Practices(현대 한국문화의 이해), Contemporary Korean Society: An Introduction(현대한국), The Rise of Protestantism in Modern Korea: A Sociological Perspective(사회학적 관점에서 본 현대 한국 기독교의 발전) 등이 있다. 대표작
